26 to 29 April 2022, Cologne

In late April, Anuga FoodTec will be inviting the food and beverage industry to Cologne and its online venue. As the leading trade fair, it is one of the most important trendsetters in the industry, as it is the only supplier exhibition worldwide that covers all aspects of food production. The range of topics is correspondingly broad: from process technology to filling and packaging technology to food safety. And from packaging materials to digitalisation and intralogistics.

In cooperation with Anuga Foodtec, the Sustainable Packaging Summit is a half-day conference for packaging experts held on 27 April. Under the heading “Food packaging and sustainability: strategy and new opportunities”, the focus will be on the special challenges for food packaging with regard to all aspects of sustainability. A wide range of issues will be discussed. There will be presentations, for example, on how packaging materials can be reduced and simplified to avoid pollution while maintaining food safety standards. Various strategies will also be examined to assess whether they are suitable for avoiding both food and packaging waste while at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
